Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Rehabilitation Counselor to provide guidance and support to residents within our residential facility. The ideal candidate should possess excellent interpersonal skills, a solid understanding of counselling techniques, and a passion for helping others achieve their potential.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver one-on-one counselling sessions to residents, addressing individual concerns and goals.
  • Facilitate skills development workshops that encourage independent living skills.
  • Advocate for residents’ needs and rights within the facility and the wider community.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care to residents.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the residential facility.
  • Provide crisis intervention and risk assessment as required.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
  • Relevant certifications in therapeutic practices are desirable
Experience
  • Previous experience in a similar role, particularly working with vulnerable populations.
