Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Specialist to join our dynamic team. The role involves ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, developing and implementing safety programs, conducting risk assessments, and providing training and guidance to employees.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of health and safety procedures and ensure implementation across the organisation.
• Conduct workplace inspections to assess compliance and mitigate risks.
• Advise on risk assessments and incident investigations to promote a culture of safety.
• Organise regular health and safety training sessions for staff.
• Monitor and report on health and safety performance metrics.
• Engage with external regulators and auditors as required.
• Promote health and wellness initiatives and safe work practices.
• Develop communication strategies to raise safety awareness within the organisation.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health or Safety Management or related field.
• Professional membership with a recognised health and safety institution (e.g., IOSH, IIRSM).

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in health and safety management in a commercial environment.
