Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Pet Groomer to join our vibrant team in Belfast. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and a knack for creating stylish and functional grooming styles. You will ensure that pets look and feel their best.

Responsibilities

• Groom pets following established guidelines and individual client requests.
• Conduct health checks on pets during grooming sessions to detect any issues.
• Manage appointment bookings and client schedules efficiently.
• Show empathy and understanding towards anxious or distressed pets.
• Participate in professional development workshops as needed.
• Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a smooth operation.
• Contribute to the studio’s marketing efforts by showcasing grooming work online.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Degree in animal science or related field is a plus

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a grooming role

Technical Skills

• Grooming Equipment Use
• Behavior Assessment

Certifications

• Pet Grooming Certification
• Professional Groomers Association Member

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
