In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of heavy vehicle engines, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. Your expertise will be pivotal in minimising downtime and maintaining high service levels. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in diesel mechanics and a passion for the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and troubleshooting on heavy vehicle engines.
• Execute scheduled maintenance programs to maximize vehicle uptime.
• Repair or replace defective engine components.
• Implement performance tests on engines to ensure compliance with standards.
• Assist with managing inventory of parts and tools.
• Provide expertise and training to apprentice mechanics as needed.
• Stay updated on new technologies and repair techniques.
• Help create a positive and productive workshop environment.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant vocational training or certifications in automotive technology

Experience

• 5+ years of experience working on heavy vehicles
