Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Machining Supervisor to join our team and oversee the machining department's daily operations. This role involves ensuring efficient production, maintaining quality standards, and leading a skilled team of machinists.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the machining team to achieve daily production goals.
  • Oversee quality control processes and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage equipment usage and ensure all machines are in optimal working condition.
  • Facilitate training sessions for new and existing employees.
  • Coordinate with supply chain to ensure availability of materials.
  • Maintain documentation of production metrics and quality audits.
  • Drive a culture of safety and continuous improvement among staff.
  • Participate in strategic planning to enhance operational performance.
  • Encourage an environment of open communication and feedback.
  • Liaise with upper management to report on department performance.

Requirements

Education
  • HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Experience
  • Proven experience in a similar supervisory role within manufacturing.
