Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Library Assistant Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of our library in Guildford. This role involves supporting library users, managing resources, and implementing programmes to enhance educational access and engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise library staff and assign tasks to ensure efficient operations.
  • Engage with community members to understand their library needs and promote services.
  • Manage budgets related to library activities and resources.
  • Evaluate and select materials for acquisition in line with educational needs.
  • Collaborate with educators to integrate library resources into curriculum.
  • Prepare reports on library activities and user engagement metrics.
  • Foster an inclusive environment that welcomes all users.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Library Science or related discipline
Experience
  • 3+ years in library management or educational roles
Technical Skills
  • Digital Librarianship

Languages
  • English: Fluent
