Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Special Education Teacher, specializing in Braille instruction, to provide essential educational support to visually impaired students in secondary schools. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to inclusive education and be adept in creating engaging lesson plans to facilitate learning.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate a nurturing classroom environment that encourages learning and growth.
  • Use technology and Braille resources, including embossers and software, to enhance teaching.
  • Conduct assessments and maintain accurate records of student progress.
  • Work with interdisciplinary teams to ensure students receive holistic support.

Requirements

Education
  • Postgraduate qualification in Special Education is preferred
Experience
  • Experience with various disabilities and assistive technologies is an asset.
