Job Description

As a Teaching Assistant in Southampton, you will play a critical role in supporting teachers and helping students achieve their best. We're seeking a passionate individual eager to make a positive impact on the learning journey of our students.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with educators to foster an effective learning environment.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students in need.
  • Help maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
  • Support the lead teacher in administrative duties.
  • Encourage students to engage actively in classroom discussions.
  • Assist in adapting learning materials to suit various learning styles.
  • Conduct assessments and record progress.
  • Foster independence in students by encouraging decision-making.
  • Assist in preparing and delivering educational workshops.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and training.

Requirements

Education
  • A-levels or equivalent in relevant subjects
  • Degree in Child Development or Psychology is preferred
Experience
  • Experience in supporting children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
