Job Description

As an Aquarist, you will be responsible for the care and management of aquatic animals and plants within our state-of-the-art facilities. This role involves monitoring water quality, administering animal care, and engaging with visitors to educate them about marine biodiversity.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the daily care of aquatic creatures, monitoring their behaviour and health.
  • Research and implement best practices for husbandry and animal welfare.
  • Document animal health, husbandry activities, and visitor interactions accurately.
  • Participate in designing new exhibits and educational programs.
  • Act as a role model while promoting conservation awareness among visitors.

Requirements

Education
  • Degree in Marine Biology or similar field
  • Experience in animal behaviour research is a plus
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in aquarium or zoo settings
