Job Description

The Risk Management Director is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of risk management strategies that protect the organization’s assets. This role involves identifying and mitigating potential risks while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall risk management strategy to align with organizational goals.
  • Analyze and document risk assessment findings, presenting them to the executive team.
  • Coordinate with various departments to implement risk management measures effectively.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk register.
  • Conduct training sessions for staff on risk management best practices.
  • Ensure a continuous improvement approach to risk management practices.
  • Engage with external auditors and regulators as necessary to ensure compliance.
  • Foster a risk-aware culture within the organization.
  • Advise on the risk implications of business decisions and changes.
  • Monitor external market conditions that may affect risk exposure.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • MBA or Master's degree is advantageous
Experience
  • Extensive experience in a senior risk management role, ideally within financial services
