Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer to join our Glasgow team. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing civil engineering projects from conception through to completion. Strong communication and team collaboration skills are essential for ensuring project success.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning phase of projects and develop preliminary designs.
• Review project proposals and assess their feasibility and costs.
• Ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Establish effective communication channels with clients and all project stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering is desirable

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in the UK

Technical Skills

• Microsoft Project
• Environmental Impact Assessments

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Previous experience in managing large teams: Experience leading teams of engineers on major infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations: Familiarity with UK safety standards and regulations.
