Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable Soil Science Researcher to join our growing team in Wigan. The ideal candidate will have expertise in soil health, management practices, and environmental impact assessments. You will play a crucial role in conducting research that supports sustainable agriculture and environmental conservation.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse soil samples using advanced laboratory techniques.
  • Research and document the impact of land use on soil health.
  • Provide recommendations for soil management based on research findings.
  • Engage with local farmers and communities to promote sustainable soil practices.
  • Assist in grant writing and project proposals for research funding.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Soil Science are advantageous
Experience
  • Experience in managing soil health projects is a plus
