Job Description

The Scrap Preparation Supervisor plays a critical role in our operations, overseeing the preparation of scrap materials for recycling. You will manage a team of scrap preparers, ensuring the efficient and safe handling of materials while adhering to quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the workflow and ensure tasks are allocated and completed within set deadlines.
  • Provide guidance and training on scrap preparation techniques and safety protocols.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure the delivery of clean scrap materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of all preparation activities.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for the team.
  • Collaborate with logistics to ensure timely collection and processing of scrap.
  • Oversee and enhance operational practices to meet compliance standards.
  • Act as a point of contact for any issues arising in scrap preparation.
  • Evaluate team performance and provide constructive feedback.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant vocational training in waste management preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years in the recycling or manufacturing industry, with supervisory experience preferred.
