Job Description

As an Orderly, you will play a vital role in providing essential support to patients in a mentally health facility. Your responsibilities will include assisting patients with daily activities while ensuring their comfort and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate care while assisting patients with daily tasks.
  • Observe and document patients’ progress and any changes to their mental or physical state.
  • Assist in the coordination of therapeutic activities.
  • Support the nursing staff in implementing care plans.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe and orderly environment.
  • Facilitate communication between patients and staff.
  • Participate in training and skill enhancement opportunities.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility.

Requirements

Education
  • GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
Experience
  • No previous experience required, but experience in a healthcare setting is advantageous.
Technical Skills
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and communication

Languages
  • English: Fluent
