Job Description

As a Construction Safety Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our construction sites. This position requires a proactive individual who can implement safety regulations and foster a culture of safety within the workforce. You will be responsible for conducting risk assessments, preparing safety documentation, and providing training to staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety operations on-site and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Conduct risk assessments and prepare safety risk reports.
• Facilitate safety meetings and train site staff on emergency procedures.
• Ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Coordinate with project managers to integrate safety practices into project planning.
• Review and update safety documentation regularly.
• Respond to safety-related queries from staff and management.
• Maintain records of safety inspections and audits.

Requirements

Education

• NEBOSH Construction Certificate
• Master's degree in Environmental Health or related field is preferable

Experience

• 5+ years in a safety role within the construction industry
