Track Hoe Operator

Job Description

The Track Hoe Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a track hoe to complete excavation and construction tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience in using various excavation tools and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the track hoe to dig trenches and foundations.
• Work closely with other machinery operators and site labourers.
• Implement effective waste management practices on site.
• Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations.
• Maintain an organized approach to respond to changing site demands efficiently.
• Contribute to the planning and execution of construction tasks.
• Document all machine usage and maintenance logs.
• Participate in site meetings and training as required.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Additional certifications in excavation and safety practices preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant experience is preferred

• Excavation Techniques

Certifications

• CPCS or NPORS Certification for operating the Track Hoe

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with maintenance and repair of heavy equipment: Knowledge of routines and protocols for equipment upkeep.
• Familiarity with safety protocols in a construction or excavation setting: Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation.
