Collections Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Collections Specialist to join our team. The primary responsibility is to manage and collect outstanding payments from customers while ensuring excellent client relations. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining healthy cash flow for the company.

Responsibilities

• Utilise various strategies to contact debtors and negotiate payment plans.
• Investigate and analyse overdue accounts and recommend actions.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients.
• Handle incoming calls related to debt recovery.
• Prepare reports on collection activities for management.
• Adhere to relevant legal requirements and company policies.
• Develop effective communication channels with internal teams.
• Train and mentor junior team members when necessary.
• Regularly review and update collection processes.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification
• Additional certifications in accounting or collections are advantageous.

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in collections or accounts receivable management.
