Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Settlement Worker who can provide tailored support to newly arrived immigrants and refugees. Your role will involve creating settlement plans, networking with local organisations, and facilitating workshops that address settlement issues.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering one-on-one support sessions with clients to assess their needs.
  • Creating and executing workshops to educate clients about local services.
  • Coordinating with local authorities to streamline service access for clients.
  • Monitoring the progress of clients and adjusting plans as needed.
  • Collaborating with teams to ensure holistic approaches to client care.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism while dealing with sensitive information.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, or a related field
  • Master's degree in relevant field is advantageous
Experience
  • Minimum of 1 year in settlement services, preferably working with immigrants and refugees.
