Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our dedicated team in Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and improving mechanical systems and components, ensuring that our projects meet the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Create prototypes and conduct testing for mechanical components.
• Collaborate in project planning and scheduling.
• Analyze data to inform design decisions and improvements.
• Provide technical support and training to junior engineers.
• Engage with suppliers and vendors for component sourcing.
• Document all design processes and changes effectively.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Master's degree in Mechanical Design is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and analysis

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Thermal Analysis

Soft Skills

• Adaptability
• Leadership

Certifications

• Lean Manufacturing Certification
• Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Past Experience in R&D: Extensive experience working in research and development environments.
• Proficiency in ANSYS: Experience with ANSYS for simulations and analysis.
