Job Description

We are seeking a Network Security Engineer to join our IT support team in Grimsby. This role will focus on enhancing our network security infrastructure, implementing security protocols, and safeguarding our systems against threats. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of network vulnerabilities and mitigation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.
• Research and recommend new security technologies.
• Assist in the development of disaster recovery procedures.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest security trends.
• Support user awareness training regarding security practices.
• Liaise with external security service providers.
• Enhance firewall and intrusion detection systems.
• Ensure consistent application of security policies across the network.

Requirements

Education

• Master’s degree related to IT/security is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on network security experience
