Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Facilities Manager to take charge of our facilities operations in Sheffield. You will be responsible for ensuring the functionality and safety of our work environment, leading a small team of maintenance staff and collaborating with contractors. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in facilities management and a solid understanding of health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop maintenance schedules for all facility equipment.
  • Monitor energy consumption and implement efficiency strategies.
  • Ensure the upkeep of outdoor and common areas.
  • Liaise with local authorities on compliance issues.
  • Create reports on facility condition and budgetary needs.
  • Oversee health and safety inspections and protocols.
  • Plan and coordinate facility-related events or activities.
  • Manage contractor performance and service level agreements.
  • Ensure all facilities meet cleanliness standards.
  • Respond to emergencies that may impact facility operations.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • Professional certifications in facilities management are preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in facilities or operations management
