Job Description

The Plant Facilities Technician is crucial for maintaining and repairing systems within a manufacturing plant. This role includes ensuring the functionality of machinery, HVAC, and electrical systems. The technician will perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs, contributing to a safe and efficient working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair plant facilities and equipment.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Respond to and resolve facility issues promptly.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment functionality.
  • Coordinate with team members for maintenance needs.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Document maintenance activities and update records.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Assist in the implementation of new equipment installations.
  • Support plant operations during maintenance-related downtime.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical certification in relevant field (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing)
  • Additional certifications preferred
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in facility maintenance or related field
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools
