We are looking for an experienced Solar Energy Systems Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering principles and practices, particularly with solar energy systems, ensuring projects are executed on time and to high standards.

Job Responsibilities
  • Create detailed designs for solar energy systems including layout plans and specifications.
  • Conduct technical analysis and simulations of solar energy outputs.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Utilise CAD software to produce efficient system designs.
  • Lead project meetings to track progress and address issues.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimisation in solar systems.
  • Prepare budget estimates and manage project expenditures.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and stakeholders to secure necessary materials.
  • Monitor project adherence to environmental standards.
  • Report on project outcomes and performance metrics.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
  • Master's degree in Renewable Energy or Sustainable Engineering is preferred
  • AutoCAD Proficient in AutoCAD for designing solar systems.
  • Matlab Experienced in using Matlab for simulations.
  • SolidWorks Advanced knowledge in SolidWorks for modelling.
  • Python Working knowledge of Python for data analysis.
  • Critical thinking Expertise in analysing complex problems effectively.
  • Communication Strong communication skills for liaising with teams and clients.
  • Project Management Proficient in managing projects from conception to completion.
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License
  • English (Fluent)
Advantageous
  • Experience with energy modelling software: Familiarity with software such as PVsyst or SAM for performance evaluation.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards: Understanding of UK solar energy regulations and compliance.
