Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Legal Counsel to join our innovative team in London. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of corporate law, compliance, and contract negotiation. This role involves advising on a wide array of legal matters, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic legal guidance.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and mitigate legal risks across the organisation.
• Facilitate internal inquiries and investigations.
• Engage with regulatory bodies in compliance matters.
• Draft position papers or legal opinions as required.
• Coordinate with the finance team on legal aspects of transactions.
• Assist in training on corporate ethics and compliance issues.
• Oversee the preparation of legal reports for management.
• Support the company's strategic initiatives from a legal perspective.

Requirements

Education

• First-Class Law Degree or equivalent
• Higher Diploma in Legal Practice preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in corporate law or compliance.

Certifications

• Certificate in Corporate Law
• Advanced Commercial Mediation Certificate preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Understanding of intellectual property law: Knowledge in IP law will be an added advantage.
