Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Civil Engineer to join our Belfast team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of civil engineering principles, with experience in managing projects from inception through to execution. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure that all specifications are met while adhering to budget and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee construction of roads, bridges, and buildings.
• Ensure sustainability principles are applied in designs.
• Review and approve calculations and designs from engineers.
• Investigate and rectify site issues proactively.
• Maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Conduct environmental impact assessments.
• Keep abreast of industry developments and innovations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in a consulting environment

Technical Skills

• Civil 3D
• GIS Software

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Sustainable Engineering Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of LEED Certifications: Understanding of LEED criteria and sustainable building practices.
• Experience with Infrastructure Rehabilitation: Previous experience in rehabilitating existing infrastructure projects.
