Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Sewage Plant Operator with experience in managing and maintaining sewage treatment processes. The successful candidate will ensure efficient operations at our sewage treatment plant and compliance with environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Operate sewage treatment processes and monitor performance metrics.
  • Conduct inspections of treatment equipment and prepare detailed reports.
  • Perform routine maintenance on treatment machinery and systems.
  • Adjust chemical dosing as necessary for optimal water treatment.
  • Collect and analyze samples for laboratory testing.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot operational issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of plant operations and performance data.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and regulations.

Requirements

Education
  • Minimum of GCSE or equivalent qualification in Science, Mathematics, or related field
Experience
  • Prior experience in sewage treatment plant operations or a similar role preferred
