Job Description

As a Controls Technician at Tech Innovations Inc., you will be tasked with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and related industrial controls. This position requires a close-knit collaboration with engineers and technicians to ensure operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • Install and configure control panels and related equipment.
  • Wire and terminate control devices such as sensors, switches, and motors.
  • Program PLCs and HMI devices.
  • Test and debug control systems to ensure efficacy.
  • Work with project teams to integrate systems successfully.
  • Conduct equipment inspections and safety assessments.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical or vocational degree in a related field preferred
Experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in a related role
Technical Skills
  • Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams
  • Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with HMI and SCADA systems
  • Knowledge of automation systems and related hardware
  • Understanding of industrial control networks
Soft Skills

Certifications
  • Certification in relevant control systems is a plus
