We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Newcastle. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in designing and developing medical devices, ensuring that our products not only meet regulatory standards but also excel in performance and usability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement mechanical design solutions for innovative healthcare products.
• Ensure designs are compliant with relevant safety and regulatory standards.
• Utilise simulation software to predict performance and stress on components.
• Complete documentation for product development processes to maintain compliance.
• Assist in the preparation of project proposals and budgets.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and interns within the team.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize engineering practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the design and development of medical devices
