Cybersecurity Operations Manager

Job Description

As a Cybersecurity Operations Manager, you will lead the team responsible for protecting our information systems from cybersecurity threats. Your role involves developing security protocols, managing incident responses, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage cybersecurity projects and initiatives from conception through execution.
• Conduct regular security assessments and penetration testing.
• Communicate security strategies and policies to various stakeholders.
• Advise on security best practices and provide support to IT staff.
• Recruit, train, and mentor cybersecurity team members.
• Develop and maintain incident response playbooks.
• Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure alignment of security initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
• Master's degree in Cybersecurity or Information Assurance is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of direct cybersecurity experience, including management experience

Certifications

• CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
• CompTIA Security+

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with security information and event management (SIEM): Experience with SIEM tools for monitoring and responding to security incidents.
• Understanding of regulations such as GDPR and PCI-DSS: Knowledge of key regulations affecting cybersecurity operations.
