Job Description
As a Library Technician, you will support the management and maintenance of our serial collections. You will engage in various tasks related to the acquisition, organization, and access to both print and electronic serial publications.
Responsibilities
Process new journal issues for circulation within the library, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
Help maintain the library's electronic databases and online catalog with up-to-date information.
Assist patrons in locating and retrieving serial materials.
Contribute to collection development by identifying materials for acquisition and making recommendations.
Support library users by providing basic reference assistance and guiding them in the use of library resources.
Participate in staff training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Handle any other duties assigned by the Serials Librarian or supervisor.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
Master's degree preferred.
Experience
Experience working with electronic serials and digital repositories.

Languages
English: Fluent
Advantageous
Experience with library discovery systems: Understanding of systems that help improve access to library resources.
