Job Description

As a Logging Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy machinery to remove or trim trees as per project specifications. You will play a key role in our team, ensuring that operations are conducted efficiently while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operates heavy equipment for tree removal or trimming.
  • Conducts regular inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Manages on-site safety procedures to protect team members and the public.
  • Coordinates with the project team to determine tree removal strategies.
  • Implements sustainable practices during tree operations, promoting environmental responsibility.
  • Records operational data and schedules maintenance as required.
  • Trains junior team members on equipment handling and safety protocols.
  • Documents incidents or near-misses for future training and improvement.
  • Adapts to varying work conditions and job requirements based on project needs.
  • Ensures a clean and safe worksite post-operation, including proper site restoration.

Requirements

Education
  • Valid driving license
  • Additional qualifications in arboriculture or construction-related fields
Experience
  • Experience in supervising or leading a team is beneficial.
