Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Nitroglycerin Supervisor to oversee the safe handling, storage, and transportation of nitroglycerin in compliance with all relevant regulations. This role requires strong leadership skills and a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team in ensuring all safety protocols for nitroglycerin handling are strictly adhered to.
• Training and assessing staff on the latest handling and safety techniques.
• Oversee the management of nitroglycerin inventory and ensure proper documentation.
• Plan and conduct safety drills and training sessions.
• Identify and mitigate any potential risks in the handling of hazardous materials.
• Collaborate closely with health and safety officers to improve company protocols.
• Report on operational efficiencies and suggest areas for improvement.
• Engage with other departments to foster a culture of safety and compliance.
• Assist in the development of emergency response plans tailored to nitroglycerin.
• Liaise with external regulatory bodies regarding compliance and safety standards.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Health and Safety Certification (e.g., NEBOSH or equivalent)

Experience

• Minimum of 7 years of supervisory experience in nitroglycerin handling or related field.
