Biological Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a Biological Technician who is passionate about laboratory work and eager to contribute to our research projects. In this role, you will conduct experiments, analyse data, and maintain laboratory equipment under the guidance of senior scientists.

Responsibilities

• Execute laboratory tests and document findings in detail.
• Collaborate closely with scientists to understand project requirements.
• Maintain reliable laboratory records and databases.
• Help with inventory management of lab supplies and materials.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines while conducting experiments.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress and challenges.
• Work on special projects as assigned by the Laboratory Manager.
• Provide technical support in the running of laboratory instruments.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's in Biological Sciences or related field is essential
• Higher qualification in a scientific discipline is advantageous

Experience

• Experience in molecular biology techniques such as cloning, PCR, and DNA sequencing is a plus.
