Job Description
We are currently seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Sunderland. The perfect candidate will possess a strong background in both mechanical and electrical maintenance with a focus on optimising equipment performance and reliability.
Responsibilities
Oversee the operation and safety of maintenance equipment.
Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to control risks.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support operational efficiency.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to enhance maintenance practices.
Report on maintenance performance metrics and provide recommendations.
Manage relationships with external service providers and suppliers.
Assist in budgeting and cost control for maintenance operations.
Keep abreast of legally required maintenance standards and ensure compliance.
Requirements
Education
City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
BTEC National Certificate in Engineering is a plus
Experience
5+ years of experience in a maintenance engineering role
