Job Description

We are in search of a skilled Insurance Underwriter to help our team in evaluating insurance applications, determining coverage limits, and calculating premiums. The ideal candidate will bring a keen analytical eye and a strong understanding of risk assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the acceptability of insurance risks based on established guidelines.
  • Utilize underwriting software to review applications and conduct evaluations.
  • Communicate decisions to agents and address any questions or concerns.
  • Monitor policy performance and suggest adjustments when necessary.
  • Compile reports on underwriting trends and performance metrics.
  • Participate in training and development to enhance underwriting skills.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Postgraduate qualifications are preferred.
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in the insurance sector
