We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team in Edinburgh. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in maintaining and repairing mechanical systems, ensuring optimal functionality across our engineering projects. You will play a crucial role in supporting our engineering teams by providing hands-on expertise, troubleshooting complex issues, and implementing solutions that adhere to industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Execute maintenance tasks on a variety of mechanical equipment.
• Support engineering teams with technical insights.
• Provide expertise in problem-solving and repairs.
• Conduct diagnostics and troubleshooting for malfunctioning systems.
• Collaborate in project development meetings and offer feedback.
• Ensure the shop floor is kept clean and organized.
• Assist in training new hires on mechanical maintenance protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and parts used.
• Adhere to all safety protocols during maintenance work.
• Participate in equipment upgrades and modifications.

Requirements

Education

• HND or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Specialization in a relevant field is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or maintenance
