Environmental Engineer

Job Description

Looking for an enthusiastic Environmental Engineer to help us in Reading. You will be responsible for conducting environmental surveys, preparing reports on compliance with regulations, and assisting with design projects that emphasise sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Perform site assessments to identify potential environmental risks.
• Draft environmental management plans and mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with engineers and scientists to design sustainable systems.
• Evaluate the performance of existing environmental systems.
• Assist in the preparation of grant proposals for environmental projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related discipline
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in an environmental engineering role

Certifications

• Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or working towards it
• NEBOSH Environmental Certificate

• Familiarity with environmental modelling software: Understanding of tools used for modelling environmental impacts.
