Job Description

We're on the lookout for a Cybersecurity Specialist to bolster our Glasgow team. The successful candidate will engage in various security initiatives, adeptly analysing systems for vulnerabilities and safeguarding against potential threats. This role demands strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to securing sensitive data and networks.

Responsibilities

• Implement cybersecurity technologies and solutions.
• Conduct penetration testing and ethical hacking assessments.
• Oversee the configuration and management of firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
• Develop incident response strategies for data breaches.
• Analyse and interpret security logs and alerts.
• Ensure security documentation is comprehensive and up-to-date.
• Advise on secure system design and configuration.
• Participate in the evaluation of new security technologies.
• Coordinate with the legal team on compliance and risk management.
• Assure security measures are integrated throughout all phases of system development.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field
• Master's degree in Information Technology or related field is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity or related fields
