Job Description
As a Track Watchman, you will be responsible for the safety and monitoring of railway tracks and infrastructure. Your role is crucial in preventing accidents and ensuring the seamless operation of the railway network.
Responsibilities
Conduct detailed inspections of railway tracks and infrastructure.
Log any findings and communicate issues to the relevant authorities.
Work with maintenance teams to ensure timely fixes.
Keep trackside systems and equipment in working order.
Adhere to stringent safety regulations.
Respond quickly to track emergencies, reporting to supervisors as needed.
Carry out routine tasks to maintain cleanliness and safety of the tracks.
Inspect and secure entrances to the track area.
Participate in inspections during challenging weather.
Offer support to other railway staff as needed.
Requirements
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
Experience in a similar role as a Track Watchman is advantageous.
