Tax Advisor, Plymouth

Job Description

We are seeking a Tax Advisor to join our Plymouth office. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of UK tax legislation and the ability to provide strategic tax advice to clients. You will be responsible for preparing tax returns, advising on tax planning, and ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations. Responsibilities

• Draft and review proposals for new and existing clients.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions and transactions.
• Monitor compliance with industry regulations and standards.
• Participate in tax-related projects and initiatives.
• Assess tax implications of business decisions and transactions.
• Provide advice on VAT, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax.
• Develop thought leadership materials on tax issues.
• Collaborate with clients to ensure their tax needs are met.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Relevant tax qualifications such as ACA or ACCA would be a plus

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in tax advisory or consulting

• Experience with Client Management Systems: Familiarity with CRM systems to maintain effective client communication.
