Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Lab Assistant to join our dynamic team in Carlisle. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting laboratory operations, ensuring accurate testing and results for our healthcare partners. You will assist with sample collection, preparation, and processing while adhering to strict quality control procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and label samples accurately for testing.
  • Monitor laboratory equipment for proper functioning.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on procedures.
  • Ensure all materials are disposed of according to safety standards.
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of laboratory reports.
  • Collaborate with other lab staff on various projects.
  • Provide exceptional support to healthcare teams during busy periods.

Requirements

Education
  • NVQ Level 3 in Laboratory and Associated Technical Activities or equivalent
  • Degree in Health Sciences is advantageous
Experience
  • Experience in a clinical or hospital laboratory setting preferred
