Job Description
As a Parish Visitor, your role will entail conducting home visits, leading support sessions, and coordinating with clergy to address the community's needs. This position is vital for nurturing our parish relationships.
Responsibilities
Engage regularly with parishioners in both residential and communal settings.
Conduct assessments to determine the spiritual and emotional needs of individuals.
Foster relationships within the community to aid integration and support.
Implement initiatives that promote community wellbeing and connection.
Document and report on pastoral activities, ensuring all interactions are recorded confidentially.
Organise training workshops for volunteers in pastoral care.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during visits.
Lead discussions with parish groups to understand and address ongoing concerns.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in divinity, theology, or a related field
Previous experience in providing pastoral care and support
Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in a parish environment.
