Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our esteemed team. You will collect samples, conduct tests, and prepare reports while adhering to strict safety regulations. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the accuracy of diagnostic results that impact patient care.

Responsibilities

• Collect, process, and analyse laboratory samples in accordance with protocols.
• Perform complex tests and accurately report findings.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments to ensure proper function.
• Comply with health and safety regulations in the laboratory.
• Document and report any deviations in test procedures or results.
• Engage in continuous education to stay abreast of technological advancements.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver accurate diagnostics.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits.
• Deliver presentations on laboratory findings to medical teams.
• Support the implementation of new testing methodologies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science or related field
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• Experience with molecular biology and/or genetics testing is preferred.
