Mold Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mold Mechanic to join our dynamic team. The Mold Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting molds used in our manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive inspections of molds, diagnosing potential issues.
• Implement corrective actions on damaged molds to restore functionality.
• Work closely with engineering on mold modifications and improvements.
• Train junior staff on safe handling and maintenance protocols.
• Assist in optimising mold performance based on production feedback.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical certification in mold making or related field

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mold maintenance and repair

Technical Skills

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Experience with CAD/CAM software

Soft Skills

• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail

Advantageous

• Familiarity with CNC machines: Ability to operate and programme CNC machinery for mold creation.
• Additional technical certifications in mold design or related areas: Certification that underlines expertise in mold design principles.
