Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Veterinary Surgeon to join our Birmingham clinic. The candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of animals. The ideal applicant will have experience in both routine and emergency procedures, and a passion for animal care.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate animal health through physical exams.
  • Develop treatment plans and monitor progress.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results.
  • Engage in client education and build strong relationships.
  • Assist with the development of clinic policies.
  • Train and mentor veterinary assistants and interns.
  • Stay informed on animal health issues prevalent in the community.
  • Ensure that all medical procedures are safe and humane.
  • Participate actively in professional development opportunities.
  • Collaborate in clinic marketing and client outreach efforts.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc)
  • MRCVS or eligibility to register is essential
Experience
  • Experience in emergency and critical care preferred.
