Job Description

As an Adapted Physical Educator, you will be responsible for developing and delivering tailored physical education programmes for students with disabilities. This role requires a deep understanding of both physical education principles and the specific needs of learners with special requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Implement inclusive physical education strategies that meet student needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create comprehensive support plans.
  • Utilise technology and adaptive equipment to enhance learning experiences.
  • Organise and lead physical education events and activities promoting engagement.
  • Advocate for the needs of students within the school community.
  • Participate in parent meetings to discuss educational strategies and progress.
  • Develop resources to support adapting activities for various skill levels.
  • Track and analyse data to inform educational practices.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Physical Education or related special education fields is preferred
Experience
  • Experience in developing individualised education plans is desirable.
