Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Inclusion Teacher to join our passionate team. In this role, you will provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, ensuring they achieve their academic potential in an inclusive classroom. Collaboration with parents, educational staff, and support services will be key to promoting a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with students with specific learning difficulties, autism spectrum disorder, or emotional and behavioural difficulties.
  • Implement differentiated instruction strategies tailored to individual student needs.
  • Coordinate with external agencies for specialized support and resources.
  • Engage in regular communication with families to update them on their child's progress.
  • Participate in training and workshops to enhance teaching methodologies.
  • Utilize assistive technologies to support students' learning.
  • Encourage students' participation in classroom activities to enhance their engagement.
  • Foster a supportive environment that promotes inclusion and mutual respect.
  • Provide training and support to teaching assistants and support staff as required.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Special Education Teacher or in a similar role
Technical Skills
  • Knowledge of special educational needs
  • Experience with assistive technology

Certifications
  • Additional certifications in special education or related fields
Languages
  • English: Fluent
