Interior Lighting Designer

Job Description

We are looking for a talented Interior Lighting Designer to join our team in Burnley. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of lighting design principles and be passionate about enhancing spaces through innovative lighting solutions.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed lighting design solutions for diverse projects.
• Work closely with the design team to ensure harmony between lighting and other design elements.
• Evaluate the performance of lighting solutions post-installation and adjust as needed.
• Participate in client meetings to gather requirements and present ideas.
• Research and recommend new lighting technologies and methods.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant safety and building regulations.
• Develop project reports and documentation for internal and client reference.
• Coordinate with suppliers and contractors for lighting installations.
• Assist in the training of junior designers in lighting principles.
• Mentor and guide interns and new team members.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Art, or Engineering
• Master's degree preferred, but not required

Experience

• 5 years of experience in interior lighting design or relevant field

Technical Skills

• SketchUp
• Project Management Software

• Analytical Thinking
• Client Relations

Certifications

• Professional membership in the Lighting Design Association

Languages

• English: Fluent
