Job Description

As an Aircraft Cargo Handling Supervisor, you will manage the efficient and safe operation of ramp activities at airports. You will oversee a dedicated team, coordinate aircraft loading and unloading, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. This is a key role that ensures that ground operations run smoothly and that passenger and cargo movements are handled efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the ramp team in executing safe and efficient aircraft turnarounds.
  • Organize and assign daily responsibilities to ramp agents.
  • Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and standards.
  • Address operational delays and improve turnaround times through management.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and other airport departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Participate in safety training and compliance audits regularly.
  • Utilize directional and radio communication devices to coordinate movements.
  • Maintain awareness of environmental conditions affecting ground operations.
  • Develop strategies for enhancing ramp capacity and efficiency.
  • Review and implement corrective actions for operational incidents.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Degree in Logistics, Aviation Management, or related field preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years supervising ramp operations in an aviation environment
