Fabric Lay Out Worker

Job Description

As a Fabric Lay Out Worker, your primary role will be to lay out fabrics, measure, and cut them to size for production. You will ensure that the materials are prepared accurately to meet production demands. Attention to detail is key in ensuring high-quality output.

Responsibilities

• Receive and review production schedules to establish fabric requirements.
• Perform precise measurements to ensure accurate fabric cutting.
• Arrange and align fabric pieces for optimal material use.
• Maintain clean and organized workspaces.
• Follow safety protocols in handling cutting tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with other production staff to ensure smooth workflow.
• Perform regular maintenance checks on cutting machinery.
• Document any discrepancies in fabric quality or inventory.
• Participate in training for new processes and equipment as needed.
• Support the production manager with daily operational tasks.

Requirements

Education

• Certification in Textile Production or similar is advantageous

Experience

• 2+ years of relevant experience preferred

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of cutting tools
• Understanding of fabric types

Soft Skills

• Team collaboration
• Problem-solving skills

• Experience with quality control processes: Familiarity with stringent quality assurance techniques.
